Our Client is seeking a Controller to join their family oriented manufacturing company in the greater Chelsea area. The Controller directs financial activities of the organization to provide the most effective return for the owners.

Responsibilities:

  • Supply Finance Manager with cost effective data on dollars within the company.
  • Recommend to Finance Manager the best practices for saving on dollars spent on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for all tax liabilities of the Company.
  • Provide Company’s financial institution reports as required.
  • Participate in the year end audit and physical inventory.
  • Facilitate the maintenance of lowest possible inventory.
  • Provide monthly balance sheet, income statements and prepare financial statements to Finance Manager for review and analysis.
  • Track profit on all production parts.
  • Maintain daily financial responsibilities.
  • Submit financial statements to Finance Manager.
  • Establish, or recommend to management, major economic objectives and policies for company.
  • Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Advise management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
  • Direct determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
  • Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Interface with other departments to meet DSC goals.
  • Provide cost justification for expenditures.
  • Consistently adhere to, and support, company policies and procedures, including environmental and quality standards.
  • Generate weekly reports to Finance Manager on goals and activities.
  • Commits to the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality and Environmental Management systems.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance, Accounting or related field
    • Masters in Finance or Accounting Preferred
  • CPA License Preferred
  • 5 or more years related experience and/or training OR
  • Equivalent education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Positive mind-set and a team player.
  • Is legally authorized to work in the United States on a Full-time basis.
  • An independent critical and logical thinker who displays attention to detail.
  • A high degree of initiative, self-starter nature.
  • Desire and ability to learn about the business and develop the necessary link between operations and the financial statements.
  • Displays leadership within a financially driven organization.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Perform all duties in a professional, productive manner, with emphasis on our Quality and Safety Policies.
  • Is skillful in the operation of typically used related tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Able to operate Company vehicle and meet insurance carrier requirements.
  • Ability to analyze complex information.

Salary: Up to $150,000.00

Work Schedule

  • This position is fulltime Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
  • This position is fully onsite
