We are seeking a highly driven and passionate engineer to be a member of the Diagnostics, Prognostics & Health Management (DPHM)'s field support team. The team’s main objective is to keep our engines flying smoothly and safely. It’s a unique opportunity to take ownership of high impact issues, make a real difference to the fleet, and get close to the final product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing field/production support for control system events – analyzing data and identifying root-cause/course of action, coordinating with other groups/system experts as needed
  • Investigating emergent fleet-wide events and working with suppliers/software and hardware owners/integrated product teams to develop solution
  • Responding to requests, reporting field events and investigation status, and delivering regular metrics to stakeholders (upper level leadership, customers, suppliers, etc.)
  • Developing exploratory analytics to support field investigations
  • Defining production analytic requirements
  • Fault frequency, software incorporation, and hardware configuration tracking

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and at least 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar study
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with control system software and requirements
  • Practice in root-cause analysis/data analysis/problem solving.
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Exposure to programming languages (python preferred)
  • Background within the aerospace industry preferred (engine system background is even better)

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
