We have an immediate need for an experienced Contract Specialist for a manufacturing company in the city of El Monte with a starting salary of 52 to 69K DOE
Position Overview:
We are in need of someone who can support our Quality and Engineering teams that has robust experience (min 5 years) in aerospace manufacturing. Min 5 years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing compliant to AS9100
  • Strong familiarity with Boeing (and other Aerospace OEM) contractual requirements and specifications
  • comfort analyzing complex contracts (purchase orders and/or long term agreements)
  • good communication & team player
This position’s main duty is to manage contractual activities between company and its customer base. Review and analyze complex aerospace contractual requirements, quality requirements, manufacturing and material specifications (including terms and conditions). Be able to identify actions required to ensure compliance with customer contractual obligations, including flow-down clauses/provisions, and notify applicable departments so requirements are reflected in work instructions.
Primary Job Functions:
  • Read and interpret Engineering Drawings, Blueprints, and Specifications
  • Read, interpret, and analyze compliance to complex Aerospace & Defense contracts
  • Interpret and assess operational risk as it relates to Customers' Terms & Conditions, Scope of Work, Quality requirements, and other contractual provisions.
  • Review contract requirements and identify actions required to ensure compliance
  • Review contract requirements and determine which exceptions are necessary.
  • Ensure company documentation meets requirements of customer and AS9100.
Secondary Job Functions:
  • Participate in team meetings/projects
  • Participate in 6S & Continuous Improvements activities
  • Participate in internal auditing system as required by quality management system
Entry Requirements:
  • Must be a US Person
  • Education - High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of working knowledge and experience of AS9100 specifically Contract Administration or Quality Engineering
  • Good English reading and writing skills.
  • Computer Skills: Basic Office skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
  • Ability to work 40+ hours of work as needed.
  • Full-time work: 8 hours/shift, M-F
  • Positive attitude, good oral and written communication skills, and team player is a must.
  • Regular attendance is critical.
  • Able to read and interpret customer drawings and process specifications
  • Working knowledge and experience with compliance to ISO9001 & AS9100 requirements
  • Working knowledge and experience with common Aerospace and Defense manufacturing and material specifications and their requirements (AMS, ASTM, BAC, DPS, MIL, ANSI)
  • Exposure to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
