The Contract Manager II is responsible for supporting at least 2 projects in Project Execution phase with detailed contract oversight to ensure that all terms and conditions of the contracts are adhered to and assure the potential risks to the company are adequately assessed and mitigated. Includes coordinating with internal stakeholders; work on negotiating change orders with vendors; conferring with legal counsel; preparing contract amendments and draft notices; train construction site personnel on the key points of the contracts and documentation compliance; assure all Procurement Plan contracts are initiated and executed timely; and validate Request for Payment for all contracts listed in the Project Procurement Plan; validate budget and Reports; work on Tax Equity process. The Contract Manager II is a trusted internal resource with strong partnerships and successful cross-department relationships with Procurement, Business Development, Administration Finance and Control, Engineering, Construction, Project Management and Legal.

What You'll Do at Enel::
  • Support at least 2 projects in the Execution Phase being able to also work on Tender & Negotiation Phase if needed; monitoring multiple contracts as indicated in the Project Procurement Plan regarding performance and scope of work to determine compliance to contract requirements and needs for amendments, keeping the Project Execution Manager (PEM) and function Manager apprised of status and progress;
  • Supports the PEM in managing the Project Procurement Plan and project budget through review of contract actuals vs forecast; weekly cost event review with contractors and Cost Engineer; regularly updating tracking logs; monthly budget review with Planning & Control and PEM.
  • Dealing with any unexpected costs not planned in the original Project Procurement Plan.
  • With the Project Contract Administrator support, place purchase orders for all project contracts, contract change orders and supplies and process paperwork according to the Procurement procedures for development of the project.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and serve as the singular point of contact for matters concerning contracts.
  • Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.
  • Communicate and present information to relevant parties and stakeholders about all contract-related matters.
Who You Are::
  • Strong and consolidate knowledge of construction procedures and contracts and legal issues/terminology. Working knowledge of risk assessment, auditing and risk management techniques. Knowledgeable of purchasing and expediting procedures.
  • Strong and consolidate capable on project management skills. Strong and consolidate ability to analyze situations and information and formulate a plan of action. Strong and consolidate ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively support and work well with people from different disciplines.
  • Superior organizational skills and detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Strong client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change. Strong ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a global framework and a matrix organization. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
What You've Accomplished::
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant professional experience in contract management, construction, project management and/or legal experience (evaluation of contracts) in an engineering and construction environment with large scale construction projects.
  • CCCM certification (Certified Commercial Contracts Manager) awarded by the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) is a plus
  • 2+ years’ experience in budget preparation and management.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (MM-PUR module).
  • Fluent in English is required, Spanish and/or Italian is considered a plus.
