Job Description Summary Coach, drive and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools by partnering with Operating Leaders in business management roles (e.g. Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, etc). Drive cultural transformation resulting in step-change in operational business metrics. The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of inner drive and strong desire to tackle the biggest challenges in the organization. This person needs to be a leader in the organization that can influence others, outside of their reporting structure. They must have a passion to lead and drive line improvements showing quantifiable results. This position will report to the Director, Integrated Supply Chain Process and is an opportunity to lead change across the Axalta global business.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the Lean transformation within global supply chain and operations to achieve operating goals using KPI-based performance management.
- Coach and collaborate with all levels of the organization and functions to help progress our Lean culture and drive Continuous Improvement
- Be a Champion of Kaizen and facilitate Kaizen events to drive improvements using Standard Work, Daily Management and Problem Solving.
- Teach, Promote, and Practice the Systematic Approach to Lean and build Kaizen capability.
- Participate in Daily Management process including daily management meetings, Gemba walks and Kata coaching cycles.
- Coach teams using the Kata process to drive daily Rapid Experiments and Problem Solving in a systematic way.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (OR a high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of manufacturing experience)
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain or Continuous Improvement
