Currently seeking a Consultant Pharmacist in Behavioral Health Full-time (30 hrs/wk) position available in Gloucester county. &Must have NJ Board of Pharmacy license.

Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Consultant Pharmacist:
  • Review new admission regimens to comply with facility policies and the appropriateness and effectiveness of medication regimens.
  • &Apply specialized knowledge of the scientific and clinical use of medications; including medication action, dosing, adverse effects, and drug interactions.
  • Active role in the development and implementation of protocols, antimicrobial stewardship initiatives and appropriate drug utilization.
  • Monitor medication administration / safety through performance indicator reviews and data presentations.
Staff education:
  • Provide education to the nursing staff through in-services and education material.
  • Educate healthcare team on updated policies and procedures, medication safety initiatives and drug shortages.
  • Interdisciplinary relationships: Strives to develop a good working relationship with the medical and nursing staff in addition to other multidisciplinary departments by actively seeking out opportunities to improve patient care.
  • The practitioner routinely attends antibiotic stewardship meetings, Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee, Medication Safety committee and Quality Assurance meetings.

  • Meditech Expanse electronic health record
  • Active CCP

Requirements
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
US Driver's License
This job involves working at a behavioral health facility. Are you willing and able to work in this type of facility on a daily basis?
Current NJ Board of Pharmacy License
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy
