(WT) is a consulting firm with over 65 years of quality service that offers professional services in the southwestern United States in the fields of geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, construction materials engineering and testing, nondestructive testing, and welding inspection. We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced Construction Materials Project Manager in Farmington NM. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to help our Team Unit.


Responsibilities

  • Work with project designers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed
  • Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field
  • Prepare daily reports on observation activities
  • Assist with proposal scoping and preparation
  • Track project budgets and prepare invoicing
  • Review observation and test data for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with training, supervision, and mentoring of junior staff as needed


Required and Preferred Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4 year Civil Engineering degree, preferred
  • 4+ years of construction materials testing and observation experience
  • Experience ranging from small to large complex construction and/or heavy highway projects


Minimum Certifications

  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician
  • One ICC Certification
  • One ATTI Certification


Preferred Certifications

  • ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
  • ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
  • ICC Pre-stressed Concrete Special Inspector
  • ATTI Field Technician or equivalent
  • Nuclear Gauge / Radiation Safety


Required Skills

  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving history required
  • Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications
  • Experience with performing IBC Special Inspections
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Drive
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Professional attitude and bearing
