Eaton’s Aerospace Group, Fuel Motion Control Division (FMC) is currently seeking a Configuration Data Administrator to join our team. This position is based at our Los Angeles, CA facility.


Position Overview:


The Configuration Data Administrator role is critical to execution of New Product Development (NPD) programs and post Development support (sustaining), requiring management of the Customer Submittal process from package preparation thru submittal coordination and delivery. Many submittals require expedition with delays impacting program milestones and shipment schedule. In addition, the role requires expedition of some CO's, review of Enovia inputs, and MCO Coordinator responsibilities with delays impacting schedule. The role supports resolution of Enovia issues impacting the LA and Pune Engineering teams.

In this role, you will:


  • Customer Submittals - packaging / tracking/ e.g. cover page, DTL, ECM prep / portal access / POC (customer)
  • Review Engineering documents for formatting and provide distribution notice to site.
  • Create and update Engineering Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Route and release of customer / supplier specifications, documents, and drawings.
  • Route and release of internal site procedures.
  • Assign new part and document numbers.
  • Create Enovia Change Requests (CR) for Customer Disapprovals.
  • Route CR’s for CCB approval, promote to Enovia Change Order (CO) after CR approval, release.
  • Create Enovia CO’s, Objects, and Specifications.
  • Release of Drawings and Documents in Engineering and/or Library Central.
  • Update Enovia for Jurisdiction & Classification Changes.
  • Manufacturing Change Order (MCO) Coordinator (create and route) and Champion Approver.
  • Move Development Parts into Production including creation of CO and Supporting Sketches.
  • Coordinate generation of technical manuals with PreFontaine Associates.
  • Create / update CM Plans
  • Create / revise Configuration Management Instructions (how you do your work).
  • Enovia Site Champion backup role

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in managing a document management system.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Los Angeles, CA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position supports a U.S. government project and requires the candidate to be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of document management systems and processes and experience with Enovia or other Product Lifecycle Management systems
  • Working knowledge of EIA-649, Systems Management Standard or SAE ARP 4754A, Aerospace Recommended Practices
  • Configuration Management Certification, National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA)
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology

The expected annual salary range for this role is $88,838 – $130,295. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experiences, and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.
