A BIM Technician is responsible for creating drawings that exhibit the detail and method of assembly for a variety of precast concrete structures utilizing REVIT, AutoCad and other detailing software. This position will participate in designing layout of a multitude of structural components for large scale precast concrete structures such as parking decks, hospitals, dormitories, etc.

Key responsibilities can include and are not limited to:

• Interpret construction documents in order to create detailed 3-D models
• Develop detailed designs for precast structures, specifying dimensions, materials, and procedures and draw-in minute details of structures and components
• Layout and draw schematic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and structures
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
• Position instructions, notes and comments onto drawings
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies and resolve design problems
• Connect with internal and external customers to assess needs and provide deliverables that are accurate and precise
• Checking drawings
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure quality and schedule are maintained
• Create reports and downloads to assist other team members
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 or 4 year degree in Architectural Technology, CAD Drafting and Design or equivalent education
• ->>>Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of education
• High proficiency using Revit is required
• Able to interpret and understand construction drawings.
• Ability to communicate engineering requirements.
• Ability to think critically to solve problems
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple functional groups to coordinate the flow of information.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
• Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and business software.
