Seeking leadership role as Compliance Officer, full time 40.0 hours per week with full comprehensive benefits package. Exempt, Non-Merit, Grade 11, $44.65 per hour ($3,572.00 bi-weekly).

This position serves in the role of Chief Compliance, Privacy and Security Officer for the department. The Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing the health department's compliance with government laws and regulations by working with department leadership to identify potential risks and implement policies and procedures to uphold laws and regulations. The position is tasked with monitoring the health department's adherance to these policies and procedures. The incumbent will lead planning and set goals for the programs under their purview and define action steps for meeting the goals. The incumbent will also develop procedures related to work-unit functions, educate staff, and hold staff accountable for following both programs and department policies and procedures.

May supervise 0-3 employees.

Master's degree in Health Information Management, Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration or a closely related field plus at least eight (8) years progressively responsible experience or Bachelor's degree with ten (10) years of experience may substitute for the Master's degree requirement. Must have two (2) or more years of supervisor experience.

Required experience in regulatory compliance and risk management; demonstrated organization, facilitation, written and oral communication, and presentation skills; experience in public health, healthcare administration, or like experience desired.

Some infrequent travel and some overnight travel 1 to 3 times per year.
