Monitors and educates compliance with the NM State Statutes and Administrative Code for Law Enforcement Regional Satellite Academy Operations Statewide.
How does it get done?
Reviews applications to ensure compliance with NM State Statutes and Administrative Code, provides relevant information to ensure stake holders understand the requirements and their obligation for compliance.
Who are the customers?
The NM Law Enforcement and the NM Law Enforcement Academy Board of Directors, Public Safety Agencies Statewide and soon to be the NM Law Enforcement Certification Board as of 7/1/2023.
Ideal Candidate
The idea candidate will:
Strong verbal communication and writing skills
Extensive computer skills, telephone and other office equipment usage
Critical thinking and emotional intelligence
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or Equivalency and two (2) years of experience in investigations, regulation, policy, statutory, and/or contract compliance. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License, a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Continued employment is subject to a national fingerprint-based record checks within 30 days of assignment and contingent upon remaining felony-free, per Section 5. 12. 1.1 of the Criminal Justice Information Systems Security Policy.
Occasional overtime and travel may be required. Ability to left up to 25 lbs.
Working Conditions
State of New Mexico employees may be impacted by the Public Health Order dated December 19, 2022, which requires facilities licensed or certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ("CMS"), including all hospital types, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospice facilities and rehabilitation facilities, as well as assisted living facilities and adult day care settings, to adhere to all COVID-related requirements prescribed by CMS, including, but not limited to masking and staff vaccination.
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive phone and personal computer usage. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.
