The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, North America, you will join the team as a Compliance Manager, responsible for managing and coordinating multiple areas of compliance including developing compliance strategies to mitigate risk, interpreting regulatory changes and developing enterprise communications, approving exceptions to company policies for assigned areas and acting as “Global Owner” of specific compliance topics.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include :
  • Review regulatory requirements and develop revisions or create policies, procedures and communications to assure awareness and compliance across the 51 jurisdictions in the US and Canada provenances.
  • Develop on-line and in-person training materials and tools for all assigned areas of compliance.
  • Provide overall compliance review and signoff on key business requests, policy exceptions, etc.
  • Provide guidance to the business on compliance topics that have a major impact on the ability to write business, including Economic Sanctions approval, Vendor Integrity Screening, Program/Facilities review and approval, etc.
  • Conduct holistic AGCS NA Risk Assessments as required by Global and Allianz SE.
  • Integrate findings into the overall AGCS results working with key areas of AGCS.
  • Work directly with LOB owners and Risk areas to define and address identified mitigation and reporting activities.
  • Manage Compliance topics across all of AGCS as a "Global Topic Owner."
  • Annually review topics to determine any worldwide regulatory changes or Allianz SE changes that need to be incorporated into the AGCS Standard, Functional Rules, etc.
  • Prepare communications, training updates, and Allianz Connect materials in support of the topic.
  • Provide guidance and respond to requests from all areas of AGCS not just AGCS NA.
  • Conduct Peer Reviews of other AGCS locations regarding compliance activities, managing Allianz required maturity model reviews of assigned compliance topics for AGCS NA.
  • Conduct spot checks of LOB activities including accounting red flags, Facilities/Program business and new product development.

What You’ll Bring to the Role
  • Experience reading and interpret laws/regulations;
  • Ability to review and interpret contracts;
  • Ability to translate legal requirements into policy, procedural and training requirements for the general population;
  • Project Management skills and the ability to coordinate efforts within a designated timeframe;
  • Ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority;
  • Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally;
  • Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail;
  • Identify and resolve issues before they transpire;
  • Ability to use general office application tools (e.g., Power Point, Excel, and Word; and
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or Paralegal or Audit certification.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $75,409 - $128,400. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AGCS total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
