We have an excellent opportunity for a Compliance Administrator located in our Atlanta Office. The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing risks associated with construction projects. You will develop and implement risk management strategies that protect the company's assets, reputation, and financial stability.

General Summer of Position:

Review insurance contracts with subcontractors to verify compliance and request and review applicable insurance certificates and endorsement. Act as a liaison between Risk Management/Compliance and Operations regarding insurance limits and waivers. Reviews insurance coverage and endorsements are correct and accurately enters information into Vista, Building Connected/TradeTapp and Origami software programs. Assist Choate's Risk Manager in the pre-qualification of Choate subcontractors, to include assisting subcontractors with their submissions and following up with, and or soliciting subcontractors who are interested in working with Choate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of project controls in the areas of insurance.
  • Review subcontractor contracts and insurance certificates to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and contract requirements.
  • Work with construction project teams and subcontractors to resolve conflicts.
  • Assist with training project teams on compliance of corporate policies and procedures as they related to the areas of insurance and pre-qualification.
  • Review submitted endorsements for compliance and request revised endorsements from Brokers and contractors as needed.
  • Work with the pre-qualification enrollment process and subcontractor pre-qualification process.
  • Responsible for uploading all insurance documents to Origami database.
  • Run weekly reports for compliance and follow up on items as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Two (2) plus years prior insurance experience, preferable in the construction industry, or property and casualty insurance or risk management.
  • CPU or ARM designation a plus.
  • Familiar with Origami and TradeTapp Building Connected software.
  • Must be familiar with commercial insurance terminology. Proficient in MS Office, Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. Ability to exercise judgement and discretion.
