The Division of Medicine-Pediatricsis seeking a motivated candidate to serve in the role of a Community Engagement Specialistto oversee the development, review, and implementation of materials and contentfor various programs and projects in Medicine-Pediatrics. In the role, you willprimarily focus on planning and implementing different engagement strategiesfor a variety of activities. You will also serve as the main liaison betweenMedicine-Pediatrics, communities that Medicine-Pediatrics projects and programswork with, and collaborate with internal UCLA departments and communities asneeded. Salary range: $22.03-$43.68 Hourly
Required: •Educational background in communications, marketing, and/or brand management. •Exceptional communication, organizational, writing, and editing skill. •Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to convey information clearly, effectively, professionally and diplomatically with faculty, staff, leadership, patients and families, donors, sponsors and the community. •Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, and under stress of frequent interruptions and/or distractions. •Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver. •Demonstrated skill in web and graphic design. •Ability to learn computer software programs and web-editing platforms, such as Dupal/Acquia. •Skilled in using Canva Preferred: •Experience with content management and/or marketing, especially in a large public institution. •Knowledge of user interface and user experience best practices and techniques
