Job Title: Community Engagement Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Classification: Full-time, 40-45 hours per week. Occasional evenings and weekends required
Supervises: None
Reports to: Director of Advancement or CEO

Principle Functions: The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and coordinating a robust community engagement strategy for The Source, with a particular focus on building relationships with volunteers, client engagement, local community partners, churches, and service providers. The Community Engagement Coordinator will work closely with The Source CEO and staff to assist in the overall coordination of services and opportunities to ensure adherence to the organization’s mission, values, and strategic plan.

Qualifications:

  • Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life and sexual purity.
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith and policies of the center.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Sociology, Business, or other related fields required
  • 0-2 years of experience volunteering or working in Nonprofits, Outreach Programs, Volunteer Coordination, Customer Service, or other related fields preferred
  • Reliable transportation to on-site locations and local community events in both Houston and Austin required.
  • Travel to Houston and/or Austin required (once a month).
  • Strong written and verbal communication

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop a strategy for community engagement including churches and other community organizations who serve our same client population.
  • Track community engagement efforts (prospecting, meetings, partnerships) in our CRM. Provide monthly reports to CEO on activities.
  • Organize outreach events to promote The Source
  • Host community events to engage prospective patients/clients.
  • Attend Health Fairs, Missions Fairs, and other community festivals and events to promote awareness of The Source and our services.
  • Work to engage current and new church partners and act as liaison between church partners and the Advancement team and clinic directors.
  • Support clinics with maintaining relationships with NFP partners and HHSC Community Partner Program.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications Manager to successfully implement A2A’s Communication and Outreach plan.
  • Work with the Mobile Unit Coordinator (in Austin) on planning and execute outreach events for the Mobile Unit.
  • Build and maintain healthy working relationships with community organizations (including and not limited to college campuses, subsidized housing programs, social services, and medical clinics), stakeholders (churches, donors, etc)., and other outreach professionals to build a community network of support for The Source in both cities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
