Prep Cook- AM Shift
The Commissary Prep Cook position is responsible for the preparation and packaging of fresh, high quality food items to be distributed to our bistros. The focus surrounds cooking in large batches and packaging foods while maintaining the highest standards.
The ideal candidate will excel in the following areas:
Recipe Adherence and Food Safety
Recipe Adherence and Food Safety
- Ability to follow all recipes and cooking procedures to the specifications
- Ability to follow a prep sheet and production schedule
- Basic math skills to adjust recipes for batch size
- Have an understanding of large batch cooking and equipment used- ex. Tilt skillet, slicer
- Demonstrate all food safety and sanitation guidelines including proper hygiene
- Maintain clean work station during entire shift
- Properly store, wrap, label, date and rotate products
- Keep kitchen area and floors clean, dry and free from debris
- Assist in the cleaning and deep cleaning of the kitchen area including equipment, coolers and freezers

- Tolerant of lengthy exposures to cold, heat and water (ovens, stoves, walk-in coolers and freezers)
