Brief Overview of Position

The Real Estate Associate role is integral to the success of our business, helping to support the strategic vision set forth by Texas Capital Bank.

This mid-level position will support the Real Estate lines of business within the bank, including Institutional, Middle Market and Homebuilder and Community Finance. The Real Estate Associate will assist the Relationship Manager in crafting and delivering comprehensive financial services solutions for our clients. They will serve as a facilitator of potential credit opportunities and be a liaison between Credit Administration and the Line of Business, ensuring consistent delivery of defined tasks.
Responsibilities:
To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to process large amounts of information, communicating in a clear and concise manner, and develop innovative solutions for our clients, all while maintaining a strong and efficient attention to detail. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Deal qualification assessment
  • Prepare Balance Sheet Committee memoranda
  • Own and/or direct term sheet preparation
  • Partner with the Portfolio Manager to facilitate the credit approval process (new customers, modifications, increases, risk assessments)
  • Partner with Portfolio Manager to verify covenant compliance and analysis
  • Ownership of post-approval modification process
  • Assist with document review and negotiation (engaging counsel as necessary)
  • Proactively provide articles, industry information, and other resources to bankers for distribution to relevant clients/prospects
  • Assist Relationship Managers in preparation for opportunity planning sessions (OPS)
  • Create pitchbooks and client advisory presentations
  • Coordinate internal partners & internal discussions (credit discussions, screens, multi-product pitches, etc)
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities
  • Post-call follow-up, including executive briefing memos for calls with executive leadership in attendance
  • Conduct client product demos
  • Work with clients on new account setups, onboarding, and Treasury Services (including fraud discussions)
  • Work with marketing partners around client event execution
  • Client management in SalesForce, as well as client ownership of day-to-day needs, contact meetings, field exam coordination, and past-due management
  • Assists with annual events, i.e., price increases, campaigns
  • Monitoring of client revenue variance or diminishment
  • Create and direct the preparation of pricing and return analysis
  • Third-party report engagement and review
  • Special projects as needed

Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Commercial Banking or equivalent/relevant program.
    • 3-5 years’ experience in Real Estate related development, financing, and / or Banking.
    • Formal Credit training strongly preferred.
    • Exceptional writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Extraordinary levels of motivation and initiative.
    • Effective team players who want to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and build working relationships across the organization.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint in order to produce reports, memos, and presentations.
    • Interest in a long-term career in Banking.
    • Ability to live and work in, Dallas or Houston; with potential opportunity in San Antonio, Fort Worth, or Austin.
    • Proven leadership skills and community involvement.
