Southern Botanical is seeking a Full Time Commercial Crew Member in Dallas, TX. As a Crew Member, you will work with your crew under the direction of your crew leader to ensure efficient, safe, and high quality service delivery. This is an entry level role with no prior experience required.

Responsibilities:

• Loads required tools, equipment and supplies needed to perform assigned daily work at Foreman’s direction
• Assists in appropriate vehicle unloading at the end of the workday and proper disposal of non-reusable materials
• Ensures all equipment is properly used and maintained each workday
• Follows written and/or verbal instructions from Residential Business Developer Foreman or Manager to complete assigned tasks
• Communicates any problems seen on job site to Foreman
• Learns to effectively and safely operate equipment used in maintenance operations – see Certification Manual for Equipment list.
• Performs the following maintenance tasks: proper trimming of turf, shrubs and ornamental trees; leaf and debris clean-up; and planting of shrubs, ground cover and bedding plants
• Learns all other work associated with landscape maintenance using the equipment provided in the safest and most current methods possible

Requirements:

• OSHA knowledge and understanding of safety requirements.
• Safe use of power tools such as mowers, blowers, saws, trimmers, edgers, chippers and other industry tools.
• Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

• Able to work in temperatures from -10 to 110 degrees.
• Ability to stand or walk at least 8 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted. Sometime frequently throughout the day.

Availability Requirement:

• Average shifts are 8-10 hours long.
• Ability to work on weekends as needed.

Compensation:

• The wage range for this position is $16 & $19 based on experience.
