Support Producer and Marketing Account Executive, if applicable, by marketing and servicing new and renewal business. Be knowledgeable of applicable coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting and legislative changes, to maintain relationships with clients and carrier representatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary:

Work with a team of 18, within an office of 50, to achieve efficient and effective communication, and provide outstanding client support to members and prospects of a Property and Casualty Alternative Risk Financing (insurance) program administered by McGriff.


Duties Include:

  • Provide daily assistance to members and brokers as needed
  • Quote and prepare new business Property & Liability coverage proposals
  • Assist underwriters with contract and coverage review as requested
  • Process change requests/endorsements
  • Process cancellations as needed
  • Participate in annual underwriting process to renew 2,300 Pool members’ Property & Liability coverage
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Review and explain Pool coverages and concepts to members, brokers, and district managers
  • Provide daily assistance and mentoring to other teammates on Property & Liability questions
  • Assist in writing, proofreading, and editing newsletters, memos, annual reports, and marketing fliers
  • Run reports out of member database and furnish them to appropriate parties as requested
  • Create loss runs/reports as requested
  • Participate in peer review quality control process of client correspondence
  • Create, maintain, and update procedures related to your tasks
  • Accurately file and maintain electronic records
  • Assist in maintaining membership database, mailing lists, and other information
  • Issue certificates and evidence of coverage documents as requested
  • Assist with copying, scanning, and mass mailings as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training
2. 3-5 of relevant insurance industry experience
3. Appropriate insurance license(s) - P&C License
4. Strong client relations skills; including excellent communication skills and service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness to resolve client and company problems
5. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Advanced degree
2. Certification in field of endeavor
3. Experience with Requests for Proposal
