KT Black is currently seeking a responsible collections specialist of customer accounts for a local construction company. Ideal candidate will be professional when handling confidential information, as well as build trust with customers to guarantee timely payments.

SKILLS

• Motivated to work as an integral member of the team
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections
• Ability to clearly communicate with the customers both written and verbally
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to explain financial matters firmly and clearly to customers, including payments, financial terms and credit services
• Be able to understand relevant legislation and court procedures.
• Have good administration and IT skills including Microsoft Office
• Strong problem-solving skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review statements before they are sent to customers for payment
• Process credit card payments
• Routinely run aging reports
• Accurately document accounts in database and communicate with Controller of expected payments
• Develop action plan to communicate and follow up with past due clients
• Ensure goals are met by efficiently completing assigned work in a timely manner
• Process Customer Number Requests for Office Managers
• Support satellites offices
