Job description

Leading area food service provider has a full time opening for an Billing and Collections Specialist. Great, low stress working environment with many long term employees. Full benefit package including matching 401k. Company wide weekly meals.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage customers in multiple systems.
• Create customer invoices on a daily basis per individual unit manager specifications.
• Submit invoices to customers for payment. This includes mail, email and 3rd party procurement portal submissions.
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
• Work with customers to ensure timely payment of invoices. This may include routine follow up and troubleshooting.

Skills

• Ability to perform complex billing transactions on a daily basis
• Proven working experience in an accounting or collections role.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
• Proven ability to work in a team setting to accomplish multiple objectives.
• Attention to detail and strong data entry skills
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software (JDE or other full-scale ERP software)
• Sage 300 experience a big plus
• Customer service orientation and solid communication skills
• High degree of accuracy
• Associates Degree in Accounting preferred

• Associates Degree in Accounting (Preferred)

Experience:

• Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
• Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
