A Brief Summary of This Position:

V almont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for a CNC Torch Operator – Fabricator 1 position in the Global Engineered Infrastructure Products (EIP) Division, Salem, Oregon location. W e are looking for a highly driven individual that will process material in accordance with shop drawings using fabrication machines and tools.

Essential Functions:

• This position reports into Operations Manager and has no direct or indirect reports
• Set-up and run a CNC Fuel Torch - Plasma Torch
• Set-up and run hydraulic iron workers, sheer, punch, and cope
• Use several different layout tools.
• Set up and run hydraulic Press Brake
• Set up and run various size drill presses
• Maintain material traceability
• Set up and run fabri-punch
• Set up and operate a Piranha Press
• Perform general housekeeping

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a fast -paced manufacturing environment
• The ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
• The ability to accurate read a measuring tape to within 1/32” and knowledge of basic mathematics
• Must be able to read and follow all shop drawings and work instructions
• Demonstrated strengths in interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt and professionally communicate with a variety of people
• Take and follow instruction from senior employees, leads and supervisors

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:

• Industrial trade school in industrial machining
• One Year of previous qualified CNC-fabrication experience in a professional manufacturing environment preferably with CNC Torch experience
• Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
