Job description

Hiring machinists with CNC Mill Setup experience on CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers. Experience in tool changes, G&M code programming & editing, offsets, blueprint reading, and inspection required. Medical, vision, & dental available after 30 days. 401K, AFLAC and available overtime. Salary determined based on experience.

• Requires no supervision/assistance to perform job tasks.
• Read Complicated blueprints, process sheets, and/or sketches of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
• Reads / makes process sheets or set up sheets
• Write Programs EIA and/or Mazatrol
• Call programs to and from the file server.
• Setup fixtures, vises or workholding devices as required and aligns as necessary.
• Select and install tooling in tool holders and-tool-change magazine, in sequence specified on process sheet , set tool offsets. Make program edits
• Load work piece manually or using hoist.
• Operate machine without assistance safely and efficiently.
• Observe control panel and compare with process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts.
• Adjust controls to correct machine performance. Apply practical knowledge of mill operation.
• Inspect first piece and spot-check succeeding pieces for drawing conformance , using appropriate Inspection equipment
• Study job packet and organize materials for next run during cycles to shorten changeover time.
• Set up and operate other machines during machining cycles. Perform 1st piece approvals
• Dry run before machining to detect errors in tape or computer program.
• May sharpen drills with various points.
• Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
• Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistical process control charts.
• Daily recording of Line Reports, tally sheets, diary sheets, etc.
• Daily checks of oil and coolant levels
• Wiping down machine and cleaning chips inside and out of machine every day
• Maintaining an organized and clean bench, floor, and work area including mopping wet floor if necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
