Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Microsoft Center of Excellence, utilizing independent judgment and discretion, the Cloud Managed Services Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for growing Cloud managed services in their assigned territory. This is a hunter role focused on adding new cloud managed services customers by working directly with prospects, and in partnership with Sales and other support roles. The Cloud Managed Services BDM works daily to prospect, qualify new opportunities and close business that will achieve key performance metrics, and sales and profit targets. Through experience and proven Cloud technical skills/accreditations, the Cloud Managed Services BDM articulates the value of hyperscale cloud managed services to become a trusted partner and extension of our customer’s IT teams.

Responsibilities

Primary Job Duties

· Leverages proven Cloud technical skills and accreditations to pursue and win new cloud managed services logos in a pure hunting role

· Creates and articulates compelling value propositions around cloud managed services

· Develops and executes key business development initiatives with Sales and other key stakeholders to increase sales pipeline

· Continually develops, further qualifies leads and manages them through the managed services sales cycle

· Provides subject-matter-expertise related to our Cloud managed services offerings

· Creates strong partnerships with GTM teams, ensuring they are enabled to effectively sell and market Cloud managed services.

Required competencies:

· Proven knowledge of hyperscale cloud technologies and solutions through experience and/or market competency accreditation.

· Experience working with or selling hyperscale cloud solutions and/or managed services is strongly preferred.

· Proven track record in identifying new leads, qualifying prospects, and closing sales to new customers consistently meeting or exceeding assigned quota.

· Proven ability to effectively sell to executive management and other key decision makers within a company

· Experience developing GTM plans to drive outcomes with measurable results.

· Strong sense of urgency, proactive and responsive behavior, follow-through, and a passion for customer satisfaction.

· Strong presentation, sales, and negotiation skills.

· Excellent business judgement and the demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically.

Certifications, Licenses or Registrations required, if any:

Achieve at least ONE Hyperscale Cloud Foundational Certification within six months of role start date (Microsoft Azure Essentials, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Google Cloud Digital Leader). Achieve at least TWO Hyperscale Cloud Foundational Certifications within eighteen months of role start date.
