The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) has an exciting opportunity available for an Oracle Cloud Developer OR Senior Oracle Cloud Developer for Enterprise Applications.

The selected candidate will be part of a project team tasked with upgrading from PeopleSoft HCM to Oracle Cloud HCM and supporting the new system after go-live. Typical duties include developing reports and creating and maintaining Oracle extensions and/or fast formulas for calculations, validations, and processing control. Additionally, the position will have responsibility for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

This is one position that will be filled as either an Oracle Cloud Developer or Senior Oracle Cloud Developer depending on the selected candidate’s experience and education. This position is designated as an essential employee who may be required to work on non-business days or outside of normal business hours to ensure the continuity of operations for information technology services.

Essential Functions- Oracle Cloud Developer:

  • The Oracle Cloud Developer designs, develops, tests, and implements enterprise-wide application software solutions to meet campus business requirements. The position requires the ability to analyze and understand Oracle Cloud software applications and develop software solutions to address business processes that integrate multiple facets of core campus business activities. Assists in the on-going support and maintenance of these critical enterprise-wide production systems.
  • Designs, develops, tests, and maintains reports, data conversions, and interfaces to and from Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.
  • Develops HCM operational reports using Oracle cloud reporting tools.
  • Creates and maintains application extensions/modifications.
  • Understands and consistently applies current software development methodologies.
  • Ensures system integrity and efficiency.
  • Communicates and coordinates with other team members to ensure project goals are met.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions – Senior Oracle Cloud Developer:

  • In addition to performing the duties of the Oracle Cloud Developer, the Senior Oracle Cloud Developer designs, develops, and implements enterprise-wide application software solutions to meet campus business requirements. This position will have an in-depth understanding of the technical architecture of the ERP application and the ability to use a variety of complex techniques and tools to achieve the desired application functionality. Provides on-going support and maintenance of these critical enterprise-wide production systems.
  • Acts as an applications expert for campus and central office staff for specified HCM modules.
  • Translates functional requirements into technical design documents.
  • Understands system configuration and processing requirements as part of applications support.
  • Assists in code migrations in development environments.
  • Troubleshoots complex issues and implements resolutions.
  • Ensures documentation, functional, and technical specifications are up to date.
  • May lead and train other staff associated with enterprise-wide application development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications - Oracle Cloud Developer:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related field.

Experience: Two (2) years of experience with ERP software packages (e.g., PeopleSoft/Oracle, Banner, etc.), or other enterprise-wide application software (e.g., COEUS, Maximus ERS). Oracle HCM and Oracle Analytics experience highly preferred.

Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education.

Minimum Qualifications - Senior Oracle Cloud Developer:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related field.

Experience: Four (4) years of experience with ERP software packages (e.g., PeopleSoft/Oracle, Oracle HCM, Banner, etc.), or other enterprise-wide application software (e.g., COEUS, Maximus ERS). Oracle HCM and Oracle Analytics experience highly preferred.

Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education.

Preferred Experience (either position):

  • Experience as a resource in the implementation lifecycle of at least one Oracle HCM Cloud project and Supporting Oracle Cloud.
  • Experience in Oracle HCM Data Loader.
  • Experience in writing Fast Formulas for HCM modules (Payroll, Absence Management, Time and Labor, etc.).
  • Experience in Oracle HCM Extracts, BI Publisher and OTBI reports.
  • Experience in Visual Builder Cloud Services concepts to build custom applications for Oracle Cloud.
  • Functional understanding of Oracle HCM applications (Recruiting, Training, Payroll, Compensation, and Performance Management, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).

Hiring Range: Up to $107,000 for the Developer and up to $128,000 for the Senior Developer. Final salary is commensurate with related education and experience.
