Position: Clinical Supervisor

Program: Drug & Alcohol

Schedule: Full Time (Monday thru Friday 9am-5pm)

Location: Kennett Square, PA


GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Clinical Supervisor has responsibility for the clinical oversight of his/her designated clinical staff and/or designated shift, as well as providing direct care services to the extent determined by the Program Coordinator. This position has a part-time clinical supervisory function. Formal administrative duties and supervision remain the responsibility of the Program Coordinator.


PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide direct, clinical supervision to designated program staff, individually and group-based, on a regular basis (as defined by the Program Coordinator or agency policies and procedures).
  • Provide quality direct care service to clients consistent with program service line, standard operating procedures manual and agency policies and procedures.
  • Provide crisis assessment and support for direct service staff, as necessary, during designated working hours.
  • Orient new program staff to agency policy and procedures, the program’s Standard Operating

Procedures (SOP) and licensure/regulatory/contractual demands of program’s clinical services.

  • Provide comprehensive, objective feedback to the program Coordinator regarding the quality of the services offered by employees under his/her supervision as part of 90-day evaluations, annual evaluation or as otherwise needed. Ensure all program services are compliant with recovery principles and are culturally competent.
  • Implement effective treatment plans and interventions consistent with client goals, needs and strengths.
  • Maintain quality documentation of clinical service delivery.
  • Implement clinical service delivery goals consistent with overall agency goals and policy/procedures.
  • Provide all authorized client services and provide supporting documentation for re-authorizations, as necessary, in a timely manner.
  • Submit accurate and timely payroll and billing documentation.
  • Minimize unnecessary program expenses.
  • Supervise direct service staff and provide relevant direct services.
  • Ensure all program services are compliant with recovery principles and are culturally competent.
  • Implement effective treatment plans and interventions consistent with client goals, needs and strengths.
  • Support staff and client access to community resources, facilitating access as necessary.
  • Make prompt referrals to appropriate levels of care when the program is unable to appropriately handle client needs.
  • Provide quality clinical trainings to program staff, following agency curriculum, as directed by the Program Coordinator to support quality clinical service delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives as implemented within his/her respective program or service line.
  • Report incidents through the incident management system in a timely and effective manner.
  • Make prompt referrals to appropriate levels of care when the program is unable to appropriately handle client needs.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow agency policies and procedures to carry out the care and treatment of clients and the supervision of other staff.
  • Report to direct supervisor, and other administrative staff as required, in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Maintain a collaborative, working relationship with all program staff to fully support the needs of the program or service line.
  • Consult with other treatment professionals as needed.
  • Report to direct supervisor, and other administrative staff as required, in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Maintain personal compliance with all training requirements and personnel documentation standards.
  • Complete all personally required trainings as per Professional Development Plan or as per contractual requirements with agency payers.
  • Maintain professional licensure and specialized certification in the designated state(s), as applicable.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, payers and community support service representatives and other agencies.
  • Communicate effectively with payers to maintain and renew services authorizations as clinically appropriate.
  • Oversee the completion and tabulation of clear and concise reports and client outcome data, utilizing agency-endorsed outcome measures, and proposing formal recommendations for corrective action.
  • Maintain a collaborative, working relationship with all program staff to fully support the needs of the program or service line.

REQUIREMENTS:


Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in a clinical behavioral health discipline.


Minimum Experience: Two years post-degree experience in the behavioral health field, one year supervisory experience or equivalent in relevant training.


Minimum Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensure and/or certification strongly preferred.


Required Clearances: Pennsylvania Act 33 & 34 clearance, Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list


Additional Requirements: Ability to communicate on telephone, write, speak, read, type, sit for long periods of time, work with little direct supervision, and use a computer.


Holcomb offers a generous benefit package to all employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Benefits are available the first day of a new month after completing 30 days of employment. Health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision are included. Paid holidays in addition to earned paid time off, 403(B) with company match, and 1 year salary of life insurance is available as well. Some benefits are available to employees working between 25-29 hours per week.
