Health Synergy Clinical Research, LLC is seeking Bilingual (English/Spanish) Clinical Research Coordinator/Patient Educatorfor a full-time position in Okeechobee, FL.

A Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is responsible for overseeing clinical trials to assist in evaluating the effectiveness of new drugs or biotechnology. The duties include sorting through applications and choosing qualified candidates, monitoring the health of each participant throughout the trial and compiling a report to summarize the success or failure of a particular drug, technology or medical procedure. The Research Patient Educator (RPE) is responsible for identifying, pre-screening, and facilitating patient outreach efforts for the site to meet monthly enrollment targets. The CRC/RPE must have the ability to analyze information provided by the potential participant to determine study participation eligibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Phone screen potential volunteers that have contacted the research organization (phone, email, social medical, etc.) and document in the clinical trial management system accordingly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources such as area case management agencies, hospitals, physicians, and other clinical organizations; identifies expansion opportunities; organizes and coordinated community outreach programs.
  • Upload and process all leads and referrals into our patient database
  • Review and understand criteria for enrolling clinical research studies based on protocol specific criteria
  • Deliver monthly goal of prescreen and screen appointments as assigned by supervisor
  • Communicating with participants regarding study objectives
  • Administering questionnaires and monitoring participants to ensure they adhere to the study’s rules
  • Liaising with laboratories regarding research findings
  • Monitoring the study to ensure that it complies with protocols, is ethically-conducted and follows regulatory standards
  • Maintaining research records of study activity, including case report forms, drug dispensation records or other regulatory forms as per FDA guidelines
  • Execute proper collection, labeling, storage and transport of all specimens
  • Making sure that all equipment and supplies needed for the study are in-stock and in good working order
  • Comply with company policies and core values
  • Work with upper management and research coordinators to ensure recruitment specific criteria is being met.
  • Assist in implementation of new policies that will help decrease inefficiencies
  • Identify potential volunteers by reviewing medical records and study charts
  • Additional duties/responsibilities may be assigned as needed

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be bilingual, English/Spanish (Preferred)
  • Ability and willingness to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Sales mentality with excellent communication skills and a high degree of professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Maintain professionalism during all circumstances
  • Friendly, outgoing personality; maintain a positive attitude under pressure

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPIERENCE, AND CERITIFICATIONS

  • High School Graduate or higher education
  • Phone experience: 1-2 years
  • Patient experience: 1-2 years
  • Phlebotomy Experience (Preferred): At least 1 year (or willingness to learn)
  • Medical terminology
  • Years of experience in clinical research: at least 1 year (Preferred)
