PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for providing high quality direct patient care and assisting providers and other clinical staff with patient care and other clinical and clerical workflows in a professional manner according to established policies, procedures and standards of care. Must consistently demonstrate and promote the Standards of Behavior of the Network. Performs all areas of work duties in a manner that demonstrates responsibility, respect, integrity, affinity, empathy and teamwork. Ability to competently and skillfully perform all clinical and clerical functions including but not limited to: temperature, automated blood pressures and screening tools,

Schedules may include one-to-two or more evening and/or weekend coverage and assignments to other office locations to ensure safe staffing levels and optimal business operations. Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends and travel to other office locations for work coverage is required. Must successfully complete Training Program and Preceptorship Skills Checklist within first 90 days. Ability and willingness to accept other work duties as assigned by manager/supervisor is required.

This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) pediatric, adolescent, adult, older adult and frail elderly in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

DUTIES

  • Use AECIS to view patient schedules
  • Prepares patient rooms ensuring that all necessary equipment is in clean working order and that all necessary supplies are well stocked.
  • Escorts patients to exam rooms, assists patients after exam dressing, directs patients to the lab or reception area using established customer service standard.
  • Expertly obtains patient weight, blood pressure using automated blood pressure machine, height, temperature, and give patient paper screening tools as appropriate.
  • Ensure that the patent exam rooms are clean and prepared for the next patient/day according to the practice standard.
  • Complies with all AEHN and EPM policies regarding confidentiality.
  • Acting in accordance to Einstein’s policies and operations including but not limited to: CICARE, Jefferson/Einstein Code of Conduct and Standards of Behavior.
  • Complies with all AEHN and EPM policies regarding confidentiality.

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
