- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
- Current ACLS
- Current BCLS
- 2-3 years of operating room experience.
- Trauma experience preferred.
- Acute care experience.
- Bachelors in Nursing preferred
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluation of perioperative nursing care. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs or surgical operating team are met.
