About this role

The Clinical Coordinator MAT provides leadership, vision, oversight, and coordination to the provision of medication assisted treatment services to include program development, implementation, and supervision of the Medication Assisted Treatment initiative within the assigned area.

What you bring to the table

Education:

  • Minimum of Independent Licensure with a Master’s Degree in clinical/counseling psychology or social work from an accredited college or university or be a graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing with a current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which employed.
  • Other substance abuse certification would be desirable though not required.

Experience:

  • Experience in the coordination and administration of behavioral health or medical service delivery systems as well as knowledge and/or interest in the provision of integrated behavioral health/medical programming within a multidisciplinary framework.
  • Professional experience in the behavioral health or medical field that indicates knowledge of management and supervision techniques, peer review, data collection and quality assurance.
  • Experience successfully navigating a correctional healthcare setting in which there are multiple stakeholders and needs to consider while maintaining the patient’s needs as the primary focus.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Related certification may be applicable based on specific state requirements.

What you will do

  • Responsible to plan, manage, supervise, and coordinate the provision of MAT services to patients within the assigned facilities. This includes providing leadership and close collaboration and communication with an integrated team including medical providers, nursing, mental health professionals, psychiatry, and security staff.
  • In conjunction with the Regional Office team, shall assist in the development of program design and expansion of MAT services, as required, to include assistance with staffing and program development Responsible for the clinical supervision and direction, professional education, and staff development for staff providing services at the site level.
  • Responsible to direct clinical services at the level expected per licensure and scope of practice.
  • Responsible for oversight and direction of any training provided by healthcare staff to other facility staff.
  • Responsible to assign specific duties and clinical responsibilities to healthcare staff in accordance with their position descriptions, education and professional experience.
  • Responsible to represent interests of the corporation with the facility’s administrative staff and to facilitate cooperation in the delivery of MAT services
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
  • Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
  • Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
  • Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
  • Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
