Clinical Coding Compliance Auditor
Job description
Identifies and performs audits in regulatory compliance risk areas. Areas of audits may include: medical record documentation, coding accuracy, medical necessity, effectiveness of the Community Healthcare System Corporate Compliance Program, etc. Audits include preparation or reports with findings and action plans for management.
Position is hybrid.
To qualify you must have:
- Minimum Associates degree in Health Information Technology required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- RHIT or RHIA required.
- 3-5 years inpatient coding experience.
- Proficient in ICD-10 PCS coding.
- Epic experience preferred. Experience in billing preferred.
- Experience in data mining, analysis and report development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex and competing priorities.
- Intermediate MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Location: Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana · Corporate Compliance
Schedule: Full-time, Days, M-F 8:00 am - 4:30pm
