This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (8:00am - 5:00pm). We offer 8 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for other team members
• Manage the intake of members or the admission/discharge information post notification
• Work with UHC CMO’s and ICM team to coordinate care for members
• Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals
• Resolve inquiries from members

Part of the challenge here is dealing positively with members and providers in sometimes challenging circumstances. As a subject matter expert, you’ll also be the “go-to” resource for information. The flexibility to work evening hours will also be required.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
• 2+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems
• 2+ years of experience working in the health care industry
• 2+ years of experience working with medical terminology
• Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday between 8:00am – 5:00pm including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree (or higher)
• 1+ years of ICUE experience
• Experience working with health care insurance
• Experience in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
• Clerical or administrative support background or experience working with Microsoft Teams
• Experience working in Customer Service or Account Management

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
