Practice Nurse Clinician Overview:
- Mercy Washington Oncology is looking for a Practice Nurse Clinician or Clinic Nurse LPN!
- Serves as primary liaison between specialty physician and patient.
- Responsible for communicating with patients, assessing and evaluating their needs and advising the patients of the recommended actions/course of treatment as directed by the Physician.
- Experience in Oncology, not required. Training provided on the job!
Practice Nurse Clinician Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- Licensure: Requires RN licensure in the State of Missouri.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years experience in a specialty practice required.
- Other skills & knowledge: Strong assessment and communication skills are necessary.
- Preferred Education: BSN preferred.
- Preferred Experience: Oncology experience
- Certification/Registration: Prefers certification in area of specialty
Clinic LPN Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure. Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire (range from upon hire to within 1 year)
