Description:

Mercy Medical Center a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Client Services Coordinator to join our Rehab team. This person is responsible for varied reception, clerical and administrative support functions to ensure efficient and effective operations. Responsible for maintenance of client records, client registration, insurance authorization, and maintenance of statistical data, as needed. Manages the phone system, intake, scheduling, referrals, insurance authorizations, registration, co-pay collection, supports the therapy outpatient department, and manages patients within the department from intake to discharge. Assists internal and external customers with all clerical tasks within the office. Supports all personnel in the rehab department with supportive clerical functions as identified.

Work Hours/Shift:

  • Full-Time/ Days (must be flexible to work varied shifts between the hours of 7a -7p)

You Will Be Responsible For :

  • Exceptional Patient Care : Contributes to overall quality of care by treating all patients with respect and dignity. Schedules patients visits based on department protocols, all initial evaluations, and recurring follow up appointments, and all disciplines of the outpatient department.
  • Excellent Communicator: provides exceptional customer service in person and over the phone with patient, staff and family members. Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.
  • Technical Familiarity : Maintains proficiency with office computer systems. Performs clerical duties in a fast paced environment. Accurately registers patients ensuring that the information required is obtained confirming identity, address, phone numbers, PCP, insurance, co-pay and other pertinent information in order to complete patient registration.
  • Active Teamwork: Supports clinical staff with clerical tasks with positive energy. Serves as liaison to billing and finance departments to ensure that payments are tracked appropriately. Provides support to large outpatient department for all clerical support requests.

Requirements :

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience within a medical office or billing department preferred. Knowledge of patient billing and Medical terminology preferred.
  • Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment. Accuracy and dependability required.
  • Must have strong communication skills, written and verbal
