Overview
Prime Meats is hiring a Cleaning and Sanitation Worker to assist in maintaining a clean operation and proper sanitation of surfaces, equipment, and tools. You will be working in a repetitive fast-paced environment to complete various cleaning processes, including throwing away the trash, cleaning the facility's interior, doing general housekeeping, and performing any other duties deemed necessary by management. This is an entry-level position in a Meat production environment, with no previous experience required.
Responsibilities:
- Disassemble and de-energize the equipment according to the lock-out procedure.
- Verify that the equipment is disassembled and de-energized.
- Initial cleaning: remove all debris from floors and sinks, including towels, trash, and food, as necessary.
- Empty waste containers, clean and sanitize as necessary(Pre-rise clean with foam).
- Verify the Concentration of the products used (cleaning agents).
- Ensure the facility temperature is 140 °F.
- Wait for 15 - 20 minutes before rinsing the cleaning foam.
- Scrub contact areas with the cleaning clot.
- Conduct post-rinse and inspection.
- Assemble and organize equipment.
- Sanitize all other work areas.
- Inspect and verify the cleanliness of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Capacity to be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions in a cold environment and also slippery surfaces at varied heights.
- Capacity to stand for long periods of time, use stairs, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas of the facility.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience working with sanitation tools, chemicals, & food safety.
- Experience in an industrial environment.
- Experience with exposure to moving mechanical parts in a fast-paced environment.
