Job description
Delivery of dairy products and associated products to super markets, convenience stores, institutions etc., that are pre ordered and on a delivery schedule. The successful execution of these tasks assures customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Delivers dairy and associated products by tractor trailer.
- Loads and unloads truck.
- Maintains clean working environment in truck and reports all deficiencies.
- Performs paperwork associated with deliveries.
- Moves products to refrigeration at accounts by hand truck or pallet jack.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Responsible for food safety as well as product quality as presented during FSMA Sanitary Transport training.
- Be alert to suspicious activities as per the 1st ALERT training video.
- Responsible for Distribution records and Quality records as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Must have CDL Class A license and clean driving record
- Read, write, and comprehend English
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs. and carry 24-50 lbs.
- Able to work outdoors for extended periods in various temperatures
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, 4 or 5 days per week (Sunday through Saturday).
Education and Experience
- No specific experience/education required; GED preferred
- Read, write, and comprehend English
- Tractor trailer delivery experience required
- Must have CDL Class A license
- Prior experience/knowledge of route delivery and tractor operations
