Role responsibilities:
- Review of plans, permit applications, and site development construction drawings, including civil engineering plans for residential, commercial and subdivision
- Work with a wide range of stakeholders, including design professionals, contractors and the general public
- Coordinate meetings, comments and approval of plans
- Prepare reports related to aspects of engineering design, including water, sewer, and storm drainage
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in software applications including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, blue beam and project dox. MicroStation knowledge is a plus.
- Interpretation of building codes
- Work cooperatively with plan review team
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills
Education and experience:
- 3+ years experience in plan review, including working on subdivisions (i.e. utilities and paving/drainage)
- Texas Professional Engineer preferred
- Degree in engineering, construction or a related field
- ICC Building Plans Examiner preferred
