SEH is currently searching for a talented Civil Engineer to join our team!

Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You’ll engineer better communities - complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you’ll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. What you will be doing:

  • Alongside a talented team of professionals, you will have the opportunity to deliver projects of varying size and complexity, manage and mentor staff and develop new business opportunities!

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Eight (8) to Fifteen (15) years previous experience and licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota.
  • Experience with Design, Project Management and Construction Administration of Civil/Municipal design projects including streets, utilities and site work.
  • Proficient in preparing feasibility reports, construction plans, project specifications, recommending materials and equipment, and preparing bidding documents and contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a project team from concept through final design and construction.
  • Previous experience in project scoping, proposal preparation and client service management.
  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor junior level technical and professional staff.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.
  • Ability to develop new business opportunities and win project work.
