JOB TITLE: POOL MANAGER

General Purpose of Position:

Scheduling, planning organizing and coordinating the recreational activities for Rushville Parks Department Waggoner Community Pool

Position Description:

Manages or assists in all on-site pool operations. Interprets and enforces all departmental rules and policies; supervises employees and programs;ensures facility safety and cleanliness;maintains accurate records; treats accidents and injuries; fosters good public relations. Takes daily pool samples and accurately logs them. Manage and oversee any other items deemed necessary by the Parks Director.

Makes purchases for all concessions and staffing needs.

Education:

High school education or some equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Some college is preferred.

Training/Special Skills:

Management training and public relations skills helpful; demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively with the public. Must be able to handle situations requiring immediate judgment and decision making.

Experience:

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Previous experience with private or municipal or school aquatics programs preferred; supervisory experience required.

License/Certification:

First Aid and CPR required for Pool manager position. Must be willing to hold a serv safe certificate. We will provide training.

Hours:

Manager is expected to work 40 hours a week, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be able to attend or organize any pre-season training programs conducted in May. Pool season is expected to run May through August. Flexible schedule required.

Salary:

Starts at $13 based on experience

Position Reports To:

Manager reports to Parks Director.

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

• Rushville, IN 46173: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Combined education and work: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
