Job description
A Children's Waiver Specialist provides care to children with disabilities. This requires detailed knowledge of best care practices such as but not limited to, ABA experience, Total Care Assistance and/or education in medical and autism fields.
A Children's Waiver Specialist provides several services depending on the needs of the consumers; these might include assisting consumers with G-Tubes, bathing, feeding, diaper changing, transferring, communication skills, learning, development, redirecting challenging behaviors, etc.
Must be 18 years old or older, have a valid Drivers License, Auto Insurance, and reliable transportation and High School Diploma/GED
Experience caring for disabled children required
Medical and/or Autism education preferred
Work Environment
A Children's Waiver Specialist may spend the majority of his or her working hours in a consumer’s private residence, helping with daily tasks. Shifts vary, depending on the needs of the consumer.
