Prevention Clinician (Bachelor's Level) - Children's Community Services [Position # 168]

Our Community Services Programs are dynamic, research based, and are dedicated to meet the unique needs of our community.

The DLC Prevention Team focuses on providing youth and parents with the tools and strategies needed to succeed in life. Prevention programs are offered at various community locations in Collier County.

***This position requires comfort level in working with diverse populations, and the ability to connect with various age groups***

POSITION DETAILS:

  • Working as a Prevention team to provide evidence-based prevention education to our community.
  • Facilitating educational groups on a variety of relevant substance use disorder and mental health topics.
  • Developing presentation materials to supplement evidence-based programs.
  • Using creativity to develop activities and games to engage youth in learning valuable life skills.
  • Informing our community about current prevention trends and available resources to increase awareness on substance use disorders and behavioral health.

TO JOIN OUR PREVENTION TEAM:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in behavioral science or a related field = Required
  • Spanish Bilingual = Required
  • At least one year of experience working with children/adolescents in a behavioral healthcare setting = Required
  • Valid, current and clean FL Driver's License for local travel = Required
  • Efficient, empathetic and evocative communication skills (including at least one year of public speaking experience) = Required
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of age groups = Required
  • Comfort with and compassion shown while relating to diverse backgrounds and cultures = Required
  • Dual professional personalities in being able to both work as a team player AND be self-motivated = Required
  • Microsoft Office 365 (Including Teams) = Required
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) & HIPAA experience = Strongly Preferred
  • Remaining compliant with all Trainings/Immunizations = Required
  • Ability to clear a DCF Level II Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen & Local Criminal Check = Required

LOGISTICS & COMPENSATION:

  • Hourly/Non-Exempt position
~ 20-25 Hours Target (Full Benefits Would Apply for 30 hours)
~ Monday-Friday, Standard Business Hours
~ PLUS occasional evening/weekend hours for educational events
~ Involves local county travel (reimbursed!)
