Job description

Journeys DDA's Children's Program is looking for an individual who loves working with children who have developmental disabilities.

This position works one on one with children between the ages of 3 to 21 who have developmental disabilities, functional, or behavioral needs. You will participate in community activities with each client to help them be as independent as they are able to be. These activities range from sports practice, games, crafts, and other age and developmentally appropriate activities. This position serves the Burley area.

General Responsibilities*

• Implement, document, and maintain standards, qualities, and safeguards to comply with regulations and participants preferences
• Meet qualifications for specific services provided
• Receive instruction on the needs of participant
• Demonstrate ability to provide services
• Develop, improve, and maintain the developmentally appropriate functional abilities needed by the participant
• Support and follow the direction of a supervisor
• Assure compliance with and all other safety requirements
• Develop working relationship with other staff
• Assume responsibility for shift when designated to do so
• Problem-solve and make programmatic suggestions when appropriate
• Attend all trainings
• Attend supervision

Minimum Qualifications

• Pass a rule compliant Criminal History and Background Check
• Be under the supervision of qualified supervisor
• Meet training requirements
• At least 18 years or older
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and car insurance

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 per hour
