This role is an exciting new pilot in Cornwall operating in close partnership with Local Authority Children’s Services, supporting children and young people who have experienced sexualised behaviour via non-contact offences.
Bonus : All successful applicants who join First Light between 1st October 2022 and the 31st March 2023 will receive a pro-rata £1000 non-consolidated payment in recognition of the current cost of living crisis. The amount paid will be determined by the applicants joining date and number of contracted hours’

Key responsibilities:
- To provide end to end support for children and young people, providing consistency of worker.
- To proactively risk assess, and complete comprehensive support plans to provide emotional and practical support.
- To address individual safety concerns around online safety, assisting clients to enhance their understanding around consent and healthy relationships as well as signposting and referrals to other agencies.
- To work collaboratively with professionals in both the statutory and third sector agencies.
- To provide advice, risk evaluation, support and information to all professionals working with victims and survivors of sexual violence, and to the general public.
Essential requirements:
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
Additional Information: The successful applicant will be subject to a Enhanced Disclosure & Barring check and police vetting. Please note that in some roles staff may be required to work from home/office base in accordance with our Hybrid Working policy.
