Prepare and cook large quantities of food for up to 100 children. Following ALL related dietary, USDA, personal food restrictions.
Duties
- Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
- Apportion and serve food to children and staff
- Cook food according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, or numbers of portions to be served.
- Monitor use of government food commodities to ensure that proper procedures are followed.
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment.
- Compile and maintain records of food use and expenditures.
- Bake breads, rolls, or other foods.
- Take inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Monitor menus to ensure proper purchasing.
- Requisition food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances, based on estimates of future needs.
- Ensure proper time-management practices are used to follow a strict schedule for feeding.
