The CFO is responsible for the over sight of the fiscal operations of Sayre Christian Village to ensure the organization runs effectively and efficiently. This positions is to assure financial records of the Organization are accurate and timely, assure compliance with documented financial system policies, procedures, and practices and provide overall financial support to the Organization’s business operation. This position is also responsible for the over sight of the Administrative office of the Nursing Home facility and oversees cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collection and ensuring the financial viability of Sayre Christian Village.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.

· Provides status of financial condition of the company by collecting, interpreting and reporting key financial data.

· Ensures compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. Advises management of actions and potential risks.

· Arranges for audits as required and appropriate.

· Manages budget and controls expenses effectively.

· Supervises and coordinates overall administrative activities for the Nursing Home including managing the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain a professional image.

· Supervises the maintenance and alteration of the office areas and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement and housekeeping of office facilities.

· Negotiates the purchase of office supplies and furniture, office equipment, etc., for the entire organization in accordance with company purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions.

· Responsible for meeting with, providing direction and follow-up with residents’ families of the Nursing Home facility pertaining to requirements for Medicaid coverage.

· Responsible for directing Administrative Assistant on Medicaid claims, filing and set-up of the Nursing Home facility.

· Responsible for directing Administrative Assistant on denied Medicaid claims and collection efforts for delinquent claims for the Nursing Home facility.

· Responsible for reviewing payment postings to ensure accuracy.

· Responsible for review of the Nursing Home monthly census reports with the Receptionist to ensure accuracy and billing to the correct payer source.

· Assist Receptionist and oversee resident trust fund of the Nursing Home facility.

· Responsible for filing all Medicare Part A and B claims, as well as insurance claims, monitoring the payment status and rebilling when necessary.

· Comply with facility HIPAA Security Policies & Procedures by using only protected health information (PHI) needed to perform designated job responsibilities which include preparing and submitting claims and processing payment information may access any information contained in a patient’s records needed to meet requirements for submission and adjudication of a claim for services.

· Other duties as assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee the office supply ordering and inventory.

· Responsible for monitoring financial statements for variances.

· Responsible for issuing cash from residents’ trust petty cash.

· Responsible for coding invoices for payment.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Knowledge and understanding of accident protocol.

· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work independently.

· Ability to build trust and rapport with residents and families.

· Ability to work collaboratively with residents and Sayre Christian Villages employees as needed.

· Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

· Must be able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings and overnights as necessary.

· Must obtain a thorough knowledge of business office supplies, storage, rooms and needs.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in a business, financial or related field or equivalent work experience.

· 5 or more years of experience in managing an accounting function in a medium- or large-size company.

· 2 plus years of experience as a Finance Manager and/or Business Manager in a long term care facility preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB

· Frequently communicates with employees to provide assistance in the Administrative office.

· Frequently communicates with outside vendors, visitors, family members and community members as needed.

· Occasionally lifts objects weight up to 20 pounds when assisting in the transportation of office supplies.

· Frequently remains in a sitting position.

· Frequently stoops, kneels, or bends when assisting with inventory and stocking of office supplies.

· Frequently works in a well-lit, tempered room.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
