RESPONSIBIITIES:

This position includes but is not limited to the following job duties:

PLANNING

· Collaborate with the company President and senior leaders in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.

· Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.

· Develop financial and tax strategies.

· Manage the capital request and budgeting processes.

· Collaborate with company President and senior leaders to develop key performance indicators (KPI) that support the company’s strategic direction.

OPERATIONS

· Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team.

· Manage the accounting, client relations, legal, and tax elements of the job.

· Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.

· Implement operational best practices.

· Collaborate with the company President and senior leaders in managing employee benefit programs and plans with emphasis on maximizing cost-effective benefit packages and funding (self-insured).

· Collaborate with the company President and senior leaders in performing due diligence for company mergers and acquisitions; Negotiate mergers and acquisitions.

· Participate on cross-functional teams as needed

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

· Oversee general ledger and accounts reconciliations.

· Payroll and fringe benefits management.

· Supervise A/P and A/R (including ROL).

· Responsible for Accounting Software Management.

· Oversee the issuance of financial information.

· Report an abbreviated financial report to the Board of Directors on a monthly or weekly basis as needed.

· Report complete financials to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.

RISK MANAGEMENT

· Monitor all open legal issues involving the company and legal issues affecting the industry.

· Construct and monitor reliable control systems.

· Maintain appropriate commercial insurance coverage including audits and CCIP enrollments.

· Ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.

· Ensure that recording keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.

· Report risk issues to the Board of Directors.

· Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.

FUNDING

· Monitor cash balances, day-to-day cash flow, and cash forecasts.

· Arrange for debt and equity financing.

· Advise BOD on investment funds.

THIRD PARTIES

· Maintain banking relationships.

· Represent the company with investment bankers and investors.

· Build and maintain business and community relationships within the construction industry and other third parties such as the Economic Development Council, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 20+ years of accounting and/or finance experience at least half of which MUST be at the senior level and in the CIVIL CONSTRUCTION industry.

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.

· Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (strongly preferred).

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (strongly preferred).

· Must be approachable, participatory, helpful, and a champion for team work and positive change.

· Excellent communication and organization skills.

· Have passion for what you do.

· Must have strong Foundation Accounting Software, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point skills.

Pay: $175,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
