Position: Chemical Process Technician - BTA I
Location:4750 W Dickman Rd Battle Creek, MI
Shift Information: Day 5x12-Hour (Rotational Shift)
Job Duration: 210 Weeks Contract
Pay Rate- $20/h on W2

Duties:

The candidate's assignment will include but is not limited to safe operation of dry powder batch processes and material handling equipment. This position will be hands on manufacturing, interfacing with product, equipment, and team members in activities such as operation of chemical processes, packaging product and other operational activities as assigned. Other responsibilities include identification of and reporting of safety violations or concerns. This role requires housekeeping skills, good attendance, and teamwork. This assignment has the opportunity for fulltime placement. Must be available to work a DuPont schedule alternating from day shift to night shift. Essential Job Functions include Demonstrating good safety standards, troubleshooting equipment, operating material handling equipment, chemical processes. Qualifications: 2 years of solid work experience, food or pharmaceutical processing is helpful, basic computer skills, must work well in a team environment and independently, demonstrate good work habits (attendance, safety, housekeeping, etc.), good verbal and written communication skills. Physical Requirements: Must be able to work 24/7 rotating shifts, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally, able to wear a Pressurized Air Purifying Respirator and able to safely ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs during the shift.

There are four flights of stairs in the facility. Candidate must be able to safely go up and down throughout their shift. No two days are the same. Candidates are trained on low-risk tasks to themselves and the product to begin. They learn skills at their pace after mastering the basics. A willingness to learn and grow is necessary. It takes months or longer to fully train individuals as not all situations occur every day.
