Farnum is Easterseals New Hampshire’s alcohol and other substance use treatment program for adults. Services include detox, residential and outpatient options, medication assisted treatment, counseling, and aftercare services. Responsibilities:
  • Maintains the schedule for nursing personnel ensuring all shifts are covered with adequate staffing to meet the needs of the programs on all shifts.
  • Assists with administrative functions of the nursing department including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, payroll, training, supervision, performance evaluations, corrective action and processing separations.
  • Works shifts as a nurse when all other options for nurse coverage have been exhausted without finding coverage.
  • Identifies training opportunities for nursing and LNA personnel and facilitates nurse staff meetings, nurse education and team building opportunities.
  • Ensures proper documentation of nursing notes, medication records, treatment plans, infection control reporting, incident reports and nursing department reporting.
  • Assists with audits to ensure that all nursing staff are complying
  • Identifies medication errors and works with the Director of Nursing to educate nursing personnel
  • Assists with medication deliveries from the pharmacy, returns of medications, management of the Omnicell and E-kits, controlled substance documentation, medication destruction, medication storage and security and ordering of supplies to support the medical detox.
  • Ensures services on the detox unit are delivered in a compassionate, professional and customer-friendly manner.
  • Maintains routine communication with the Medical Director, Director Of Nursing and medical providers to collaborate on client care and medical provider needs of the unit.
  • Provides consultation and guidance to staff for client medical care as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Nursing preferred; will consider alternate Bachelor degree with RN licensure and significant experience
  • Two (2) years of experience with target population
  • Two (2) years of experience in directly supervising nursing staff
  • Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain one within 60 days of hire
  • Must have proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week - 10 hour shifts.

Compensation:
  • RN base rate $42.00/hr + additional additives based on education and experience; +$2.50/hr for Charge Nurse differential
  • Additional shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts worked: +$2.50/hr for 2nd shift and +$4.50/hr for 3rd shift
