JOB PURPOSE:
Coordinating the delivery of quality cardiovascular clinical nursing care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Monitoring and addressing daily operational issues. Providing clinical care, as needed. Serving as a liaison for patients, visitors, families, CVOR staff, physicians, other Piedmont Hospital departments, and other external ancillary services. Communicating patient care, departmental, staff, quality, and safety issues to the appropriate authority. Developing and maintaining the CVOR staffing schedule.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One (1) year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum).
Demonstrated clinical competency.
