Ron Tonkin Kia has been servicing Gladstone, Oregon, and the surrounding area’s automotive needs for decades! Our dealership is searching for a qualified Certified Technician to join our service department. Working as our Certified Technician, you would be performing both diagnostics and repairs. The ideal candidate would have prior automotive technician experience with Kia certifications, however, we are willing to train the right candidate. Please ask us about Relocation assistance and the possibility of paid on-the-job training.
Certified Technician Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose automotive problems as they arise.
- Conducting inspections, repairing engine failure, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and replacing parts.
- Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair/servicing process.
- Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team.

Certified Technician Qualifications
- 1-3 years of automotive technician experience.
- Kia Certified.
- ASE Certification is preferred but not required.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen – THC not included in the screening.
